Historical Soft Release of Captive Vultures into Nepal's Wild

 

Six female vultures were successfully released into the wild from the Kasara Breeding Centre in Chitwan to Pithauli in Nawalparasi district on April 15 2017. The historical occasion marking the first ever release of the captive birds was successfully undertaken in the presence of Mr. Man Bahadur Khadka, Director General of DNPWC; Mr.Govinda Gajurel, Member Secretary NTNC;  Dr. Narendra Man Babu Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer, BCN; Mr.  Bed Bahadur Khadka, Acting Chief Conservation Officer of CNP; and Dr. Chiranjibi Pokheral, Project Manager of NTNC-BCC, along with other conservation representatives.
