NTNC Board Meeting conducted with success

 

The 53rd meeting of the Governing Board of Trustees of NTNC was held successfully on April 26 2017 at the NTNC Central Office in Khumaltar, Lalitpur.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Shankar Bhandari, Chairperson of NTNC, and  the Hon. Minister - Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation. The board members present during the meeting were – Mr. Prakash Mathema, Secretary, Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation; Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Chaudhary; Dr. Giri Raj Tripathi; Mr. Saral Sahayatri Paudel; Mr. Shambhu Prasad Dangal; Mr. Ram Raj Regmi; and Mr. Govinda Gajurel, Member Secretary, NTNC. Besides the Governing Board of Trustees, present at the meeting were also Mr. Man Bahadur Khadka, Director General of Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation, and the Trust's Executive Director Dr. Siddhartha Bajra Bajracharya, Director of Administration Mr. Deepak Kumar Singh, and the Program Director Mrs. Sarita Jnawali.

The meeting which consists of the coming together of the Governing Board of Trustees to discuss matters intricate to the Trust is seen as a significant event—especially for progress review, planning, and sharing on the Trust's opportunities and challenges. The meeting decided to form a sub-committee to plan and develop the Trust's future Strategic Plan for 2018-2022. Considering the structuring to the federal system in Nepal, the board also agreed to set up a sub-committee to address the changes brought by the new administrative outlook of the country.
