Throughout last week, from July 20-24, managers, project chiefs and officers from all of NTNC's working areas and project sites met online to familiarize and create discussion about NTNC's Transparency and Accountability mechanisms. These mechanisms cover specific compliance systems, policies and guidelines, procedures and safeguards that NTNC has developed and put in place to strengthen the institution's overall governance and performance standards.
At the online meeting, topic-focused presentations were made by the senior management and officers from the Central Office. These sessions comprised of close discussions on NTNC's strategic plan; guidelines and policies on information disclosure, grievance redressal and conflict of interest; financial management and control; monitoring and evaluation; fiduciary procedures; project preparation and appraisal, environment and social management framework (ESMF); risk management; code of conduct; and gender prevention and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH), anti-human trafficking, and child safeguard policies.
Attended by a total of 48 NTNC officers and chiefs working from the lowland to the mountains, the proceedings are part of NTNC's internal roll out for institutionalizing ownership of related guidelines and policy documents. Their dissemination has been further directed to reach sectoral project personnel also.
