New Member Secretary takes charge at NTNC

Mr. Yajna Nath Dahal has been appointed as the new Member Secretary of NTNC. The new appointment took effect following the decision taken by NTNC's Chairman and Hon. Minister for Forests and Environment (MOFE) Mr. Shakti Bahadur Basnet on March 1, 2019.

Taking office on his very first day at NTNC today on March 05, 2019, a meeting was called to welcome the new appointment as well as make briefing. A presentation about NTNC and its current roles and responsibilities in the country's overall conservation agenda was made by NTNC's Programme Manager, Dr. Naresh Subedi. Expressing satisfaction and gratitude for his new position, Mr. Dahal maintained full commitment and resolve to make a positive difference under his leadership. Sharing his expectations toward a result-oriented principle, Mr. Dahal said that he "intricately understood the importance of institutions like NTNC and was steadfast to its core conservation values."

The new Member Secretary is also the Joint Secretary at MOFE and comes with vast knowledge and experience about the nation's conservation and development priorities.
