The National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), in partnership with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kathmandu, successfully convened the strategic dialogue on “Water Conservation and Innovation Amid Global Climate Challenges: Insights from the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative” on 9 December 2025 at NTNC, Khumaltar.
The programme was honoured by the presence of Hon. Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar, Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (Chief Guest); H.E. Abdulla Jarwan Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the UAE to Nepal; Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Forests and Environment; and Dr. Naresh Subedi, Member Secretary, NTNC.
The dialogue highlighted water scarcity, drought risk, and climate resilience, with expert insights from Dr. Manish Raj Pandey (NTNC) and Dr. Manohara Khadka (IWMI Nepal), underscoring the role of innovation, global collaboration, and nature-based solutions for a water-secure future.
