NTNC’s GESI Policy 2017 has its vision to bridge the gap of social disparity by ensuring maximum community participation link with economics, environment and ethics through a process in which local people are both principal actors and beneficiaries. Exclusion of women and marginalized groups in conservation efforts can be a major hindrance for developing effective conservation leadership. NTNC is committed to incorporate strong GESI sensitive elements across the organization to support GESI responsive activities and initiations through various approaches: Social/GESI Analysis for identifying the barriers and promotion of women’s participation; project/program level GESI action plan; gender mainstreaming in local communities; inclusion of marginalized people; and raising the quality of women's groups through capacity building to enhance livelihood and conservation leadership.
